§ 31.26. DEMOLITION BY NEGLECT.

  • Upon a finding by the Commission that a heritage landmark or a contributing site within a heritage landmark district is threatened with demolition by neglect, the Commission may do one of the following:
    (A) Request the owner of the heritage landmark or contributing site to repair all conditions contributing to demolition by neglect.
    (B) In the event that efforts by the Commission to preserve the heritage landmark or contributing site fail, the Commission may recommend to the City Council that public ownership of the heritage landmark or contributing site is most suitable.
